We hired Troy Dye to prepare a 4 course dinner for my sister's 50th birthday. We couldn't have been happier. The food was amazing. Even the salad had a ton of flavor and the crab bisque impressed even this group of Marylanders (we tend to be snobbish about crab preparations). The beef tenderloin and vegetables were so very creative and delicious that even the picky kids loved it. The banana pudding was out of this world. They were prompt, professional, and left my kitchen cleaner than it was when they arrived. I highly recommend this company.

Chef Les was fantastic. He gave us a perfect evening and a unique and wonderful meal. We highly recommend him. He is very flexible in how he arranges plans for the meal and prompt with all communications. A couple of the courses included food prepared as we had not tried before, and the dishes were delicious.

We wanted to do something special for our daughter's 37th birthday. We usually go to one of the nicer restaurants in Cincinnati. With Covid precautions in place, dining out was not an option this year. On Wednesday morning I contacted Take a Chef. Chef Marcus Johnson emailed me on Thursday, and we decided on a menu. By Friday evening we were enjoying a fabulous dinner in our own dining room. Lobster bisque (beautiful presentation), crab cakes on fresh greens, braised short ribs with parmesan mashed potatoes and asparagus, and Madagascar vanilla creme brûlée for dessert. Chef Marcus presented then explained each dish. Friendly yet not intrusive. Everything about the evening was just perfect. Highly recommend !

Nicolai was amazing!!! We did a 12 person dinner party for a 60th birthday party and everything was perfect. From the homemade pasta to the attention to detail before the event to all of the plating - we could not have loved it more!! 10/10 would recommend - this will make your event so fun and special and totally stress free. Nicolai took care of everything from menu planning together to all food shopping to prep, plate, presentation and most importantly, end of night clean up. It perfect and so happy with everything!!! Also Nicolai was easy to reach via message so all my questions were answered quickly and easily.

Johnathan was professional, punctual and VERY easy to work with. He did a great job coordinating and everyone enjoyed his meal. The portion size was huge and everyone was really impressed with his professionalism and the level of quality of food. I would DEFINITELY hire him again to help us with a family event.

Great experience! Chef Craig was great, he arrived on time and took his job very seriously but simultaneously was down to earth. He was very humble and we could tell that he put a lot of effort into every dish. He called me prior to the event and made sure that the menu consisted of everything that I wanted and was even available via text if I had any last minute changes. Would highly recommend this talented chef. We will definitely ask for him specifically next time and have already referred him to two of my friends.

Chef Brent was outstanding and didn't miss a beat! He catered a dinner party for 10 of us in town for the Derby. We asked for a "Taste of Kentucky" and that is exactly what he gave us! Each and every food and drink item he created was magnificent...hands down one of the best meals we've ever eaten. I would highly recommend Chef Brent for his expertise and knowledge in delicious cuisine. Thank you for an unforgettable meal, Chef!!!
