We hired Troy Dye to prepare a 4 course dinner for my sister's 50th birthday. We couldn't have been happier. The food was amazing. Even the salad had a ton of flavor and the crab bisque impressed even this group of Marylanders (we tend to be snobbish about crab preparations). The beef tenderloin and vegetables were so very creative and delicious that even the picky kids loved it. The banana pudding was out of this world. They were prompt, professional, and left my kitchen cleaner than it was when they arrived. I highly recommend this company.

Chef Woody is a class act - I trust him and will continue to support/refer him to my peers in the government and military spaces. The food was extremely fresh, the presentation was nice and everyone enjoyed their experience.

We wanted to do something special for our daughter's 37th birthday. We usually go to one of the nicer restaurants in Cincinnati. With Covid precautions in place, dining out was not an option this year. On Wednesday morning I contacted Take a Chef. Chef Marcus Johnson emailed me on Thursday, and we decided on a menu. By Friday evening we were enjoying a fabulous dinner in our own dining room. Lobster bisque (beautiful presentation), crab cakes on fresh greens, braised short ribs with parmesan mashed potatoes and asparagus, and Madagascar vanilla creme brûlée for dessert. Chef Marcus presented then explained each dish. Friendly yet not intrusive. Everything about the evening was just perfect. Highly recommend !
