Hello My name is Chef Jeffrey Taylor aka "Cheffrey" Originally from Long island, Ny im a Graduate of the Culinary Academy of long Island with a pastry arts degree. I've been cooking professionally since 2009 working for Norwegian cruises lines ship: Pride of America for a year & half in Hawaii. Once I returned home to Ny full-time I have been exclusively in japanese inspired cuisine since 2011 as a pastry cook at Morimoto Nyc under Pastry Chef Manabu Inoue who taught me the importance of proper preparation and organization from prep to service. After a year I began to transition to savory side of the kitchen. It was under Chef Erik Battes that I credit to me learning new techniques, flavor pairings and a better overall appreciation for our craft. I earned the promotion to sous chef.
In 2018 I transferred to Momosan Ramen & Sake concept of Iron Chef Morimoto. I relocated to Houston early 2019 to be Exec Sous Chef of Lochbar. Shortly after I moved to highly sought after sushi restaurant Uchi of Hai hospitality for almost 4 yrs. Seeking to run my own kitchen i was hired to be an Executive chef for Alife hospitality group as well as Opening Executive Chef for Haiikeii. I am also featured in Greenwood Ave magazine issue #2
