My love for eating led me the kitchen, but cooking and recreating that same euphoria for others is what truly feeds my soul.
I am 26 years old and I made the decision to take my culinary career around 2-3 years ago. I grew up watching my mom’s mom and my dad’s dad. No matter where I was I always found my way to the kitchen. I would always cook for my friends in the dorms in college where I followed a dream that wasn’t mine. I worked as a line cook for a while, solely for the free food. I decided to take a culinary program, where I graduated valedictorian. I was placed into a union job, returning back into a commercial kitchen. But it wasn’t the same this time. My perspective changed, it was no longer survival but purpose. I now yearn for a more intimate setting to showcase my craft. I continue to learn everyday as I transition.
