Chef Al began his culinary career working as a chef in several high profile restaurants and held positions in all stations. He completed a one year apprenticeship at the Queen E. in Montreal, Canada and then worked for three years at Marriott Hotels Chef Gourmet Rooms. Other employers included the Montauk Yacht Club where Chef Al was in charge of off-property catering; the French Shack in Manhattan, NY as a Saucier; and Broadmore Country Club in Largo, FL (home to the PGA Tour Challenge) as a Banquet Chef. He was also part of the opening team for various locations.

Chef Al grew up in a small farm town in Ohio and now calls South Florida his home.

Chef Alan Michals is an accomplished, professional culinary chef and private estate manager with an extensive background that encompasses working in private homes and estates, as well as five star restaurants and onboard mega yachts. As a highly respected expert in his field for more than 25 years, he is a formally European-trained Chef who possesses the latest and most modern techniques in food preparation and the culinary arts
