Chef Adam grew up on a farm in the South, crediting his love of food to his grandmother and staying up late watching cooking shows on TV. This passion led to a career working in restaurants and bars across the globe. After attending culinary school at The Arts Institute Atlanta, he worked in research development for several nationwide restaurant chains which eventually brought him to Hong Kong. There, he successfully created a pop-up restaurant, Social Table Supper Club, and opened the award-winning Little Bao under Chef May Chow. His curiosity for wine led him to earn his Advanced Sommelier certificate. Adam cooks with only the freshest ingredients, avoids processed foods when possible, and believes his dishes should look good but taste even better. He is a strong advocate for food education of the youth and teaching the next generation to express their creativity through food. His varied experience is the foundation of Merrill Mountain Hospitality, where he specializes in custom dinner parties and events.
