Chef James Ray Jake

Currently I am working as a head chef of a Hawaiian restaurant in downtown Bellingham Washington. I am a father of two young boys and husband to my beautiful wife Jessica. I am proficient in many types of cuisine with a strong draw to Italian and French food. I recently had to move back to Washington state due to some family circumstances. Prior to that I was the lead Butcher at 3 Michelin starred restaurant The Inn At Little Washington, in Little Washington VA. 1 hour outside of Washington D.C…. I also have experience in high end restaurants such as Temporis in Chicago and Singlethread in Healdsburg CA. where I studied with the culinary teams. I am also very active with the ACF (American Culinary Federation) where I have won medals and received certifications as CEC or Certified Executive Chef.

Until my family and I are able to return to Virginia I am looking for private chef positions. I have a flexible schedule and would be able to work around family schedules and or events.

I am also able to cook to any dietary restrictions. Also have a strong sense of cooking for families with children. As well as cooking for those with extreme allergies.

I also run a small catering company called Wandering Wizard Catering. Recently took a step back from the company to work as head chef of a restaurant in downtown Bellingham. We cater to Weddings, parties, events, and festivals.
