Get to know me better

Cooking has become my passion and artistic outlet. I consider myself a serious student and love to share it with others.

I started seriously studying cooking while serving in the Army at various, austere locations in Africa. The ingredients were always fresh but the restaurants were mostly not safe. I discovered that I had to sink or swim, and so I threw myself into learning the art of cooking. If I am going to do something every day, I just feel like I should apply myself and try to master it.

I learn more about it every day. As one notable chef said, "Cooking is one of those things where your cumulative knowledge makes a difference."
