A Family Born of Culinary Tradition

My name is Helga, and I come from a long lineage of chefs. Cooking is not something I learned — it’s something I was born into.

My father was a renowned chef in Barcelona who owned several restaurants throughout Spain, earning significant recognition and multiple nominations toward Michelin distinctions. Our home was always filled with the energy of the culinary world: chefs visiting, sauces simmering, techniques being discussed, and flavors constantly evolving.

My mother, also an exceptional cook, worked alongside him. From her, I learned intuitive, soulful cooking — the kind that is made with patience, emotion, and deep intention.

On my Italian side, my grandfather passed down authentic Italian traditions, and my summers in Italy were filled with handmade pastas, slow-cooked sauces, and the warmth of true regional cooking. These experiences shaped the earliest layers of my culinary identity.

Together, these worlds — Spanish, Italian, Mediterranean — formed the foundation of my life in the kitchen.

The Elegance of French Cuisine

As I grew older, I developed a profound passion for French cuisine — the mother of all culinary techniques. Studying French cooking refined my skills and helped me create a signature style that blends Mediterranean soul with French artistry.

From Barcelona to the Bay Area — A Global Journey

Fifteen years ago, I moved to the United States and began working in diverse restaurants representing cuisines from around the world: Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, Californian, and more. This experience expanded my palate and strengthened my ability to create authentic world-fusion dishes.

Beyond flavor, I deeply believe in the healing power of food. I have spent years studying holistic medicine, herbs, organic ingredients, and traditional wellness systems. Over time, I began to understand how certain cuisines and ingredients carry healing properties that support balance, energy, vitality, and emotional well-being.

From this passion, I developed my Holistic and Medicinal Culinary Approach — food that nourishes, restores, and uplifts the body, mind, and spirit.

Every dish is intentional, therapeutic, and made from scratch with pure, vibrant ingredients.

Reviving a Disappearing Tradition

I preserve a kind of cooking that is fading even in Spain — slow, soulful, grandmother-style cuisine that carries stories, memory, and heart. This is the spirit I bring into every home: food that heals, comforts, and connects.

Cuban–Spanish Fusion Collaboration

Alongside my private chef work, I collaborate with my partner, Chef Michelle, to offer Cuban–Spanish Fusion experiences. When clients request Cuban flavors or a combined fusion menu, Chef Michelle joins me with her expertise to create dishes that are vibrant, soulful, and culturally rich.
