With a refined vision of gastronomy, Simona brings unique dining experiences to life, where the perfect balance of flavors and the highest quality ingredients blend in perfect harmony. The Story of a Passion

A self-taught chef with an unstoppable drive, Simona Sbano discovered her love for cooking at a young age—at just four years old, she secretly baked cakes for her brother to taste. After earning her diploma in culinary studies, she pursued a degree in Communication Sciences, but her passion for food never stopped calling.

Her career took off with the Italian Chefs Association, where she taught alongside her mentor, Chef Claudio Forti. Together, they participated in prestigious food and wine events at the Forte Village in Sardinia for seven years. In 2012, she opened her first restaurant, Miss Cake, which she successfully managed for nine years. She then took on executive chef roles in renowned restaurants in Turin before moving to the United States in 2021 to work as an Executive Chef for a chain of Italian restaurants.

In 2023, she achieved her lifelong dream by opening The Emporio Bakery, her first restaurant in the U.S. Now, in 2025, she is embarking on an exciting new chapter: The Emporio Restaurant, a fine dining experience that celebrates the excellence of Italian cuisine with a modern and international twist.
