Hello, I’m Chef Ta' a Small town cook turned chef! I grew up cooking in my home but always wanted the opportunity to learn the techniques. After High school I attended Culinary School in Memphis, Tn & later traveled to other states cooking in “from-scratch “ kitchens gaining experience. I have been able to take my experience and pour it into my food ! Creating Jamaican, Seafood, Italian & Asian inspired dishes that blow your mind with flavor! I’m hardworking and passionate about my craft & I will bring that same passion & energy when preparing your experience!

For my wife’s birthday, I wanted to create a relaxing, stress-free, and memorable evening. After receiving three proposals through Take a Chef, I chose Chef Ta’s because her menu included all the things my wife enjoys. Communication throughout the process was excellent, clear, and reassuring. On the day of, Chef Ta’s arrived right on time and immediately got underway. She gave us the choice between engaging in conversation or keeping things quiet. We opted for a hybrid—chatting at times and then slipping away for a drink on the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed her company and the engaging conversations. My wife loves seafood, while I’m more indifferent—but even I found every dish to be delicious, creative, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of flavor and kick. The dessert was outstanding—so good that I only wished there had been more (to last me the whole week). Overall, Chef Ta’s made the evening special, stress-free, and deeply enjoyable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an elevated, personalized dining experience.

Chef Ta made a wonderful dinner for 10 at our home. Before the event, she was very communicative and able to accommodate dietary preferences in our group. She arrived on time and got right to work, allowing us to get ourselves ready and then start welcoming guests hassle free. She took care of everything and only needed minimal orientation to our kitchen and supplies. She prepared surf and turf for us, which was excellently prepared and presented. After the meal, she cleaned all the dishes efficiently before departing, while we were still able to enjoy spending time with our guests. She really helped make the evening special for us.

I booked Chef Ta for my boyfriend’s 25th birthday and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. At first I was a little hesitant because I wasn’t sure if my kitchen would be the right fit or if having just the two of us might feel awkward. But from the moment Chef Ta walked in, all my worries disappeared. She was so friendly, warm, and professional, and she immediately made us feel comfortable. She asked about our preferences, whether we wanted to chat or have her quietly cook while we did our own thing, and she struck the perfect balance. We enjoyed a movie while she prepared everything, and every time she brought out a dish, it felt like a little surprise. The food was absolutely incredible, so delicious and beautifully presented. The presentation was truly on point, and each course looked just as good as it tasted. On top of that, Chef Ta went above and beyond. She took photos and videos for us to capture the birthday memories, kept great conversation, and was so open-minded and kind. She left our kitchen spotless, even cleaner than before, and thoughtfully packed up our leftovers. She even left us fresh bread, a black pepper condiment, and two extra cheesecakes for later. Overall, we are beyond happy with this experience. Chef Ta made my boyfriend’s birthday truly special, and I can’t recommend her enough for anyone considering a private chef. Whether it’s for a birthday, wedding, or any special occasion, she will make it unforgettable.

Phenomenal

The experience was incredible, my wife and I enjoyed every dish. We also enjoyed that Chef Ta was very personable! I would rehire in a heart beat! All four courses were amazing no complaints. Bonus points for cleaning up all the dishes plus kitchen at the end also!

Couldn’t have asked for a better Chef for my first time using TakeAChef! Chef Ta was amazing! Every single dish was flavorful and well plated. We enjoyed our conversations with her as we ate and drank wine. I highly recommend as i think the hardest part of the experience was selecting which dish to have because her menu was on point!
