Cook out of neccessity...Chef out of PASSION...

I have spent the entirety of my professional career in food & beverage. From 2008-2010 I even owned my own little taqueria & bar (Cantina) in Charlottesville, VA. I love the industry, am a very technical chef and server; and have served every single position that the restaurant industry has to offer. I know and can make all of the classic and tropical cocktails, and spent a year studying/applying gastronomy techniques as it applies to fine dining and craft cocktail execution. While the majority of my professional experience has been in FOH, while I stayed at home with my four young babies I did quite a bit of private chef gigs all throughout Hawaii and the Virgin Islands. I was trained by all the kitchen ninjas of my former life, and fine tuned my skills under the tutelage of my children’s father, who is a classically trained French chef, former executive chef of Barton G’s South Beach and graduate of California Culinary Institute. I do hope that I have the opportunity to serve you and your guests the most inclusive, intimate private dining experience that you have ever witnessed.

Chef Libby was great! Libby showed up on time and immediately started cooking. While she was cooking made great conversation with everyone in the house and was easy to talk to. She had a very laid-back personality and was very easy to get along with. One of our dinner guests has celiac disease and Libby tailored our menu to be conscience of this. The menu was presented online, and she created a handmade water coloring that had the menu items with a full description. We have nothing bad to say about our experience with Chef Libby. Would hire her on every occasion that we could.
