Chef Eric Masson

I am a native of Sète in the South of France and grow up in Brittany. I graduated from three different culinary schools, one in Brest (www.ifac-brest.fr/)

, one in Noirmoutiers (Les Sorbets), and one in Paris (www.ferrandi-paris.com/).

After working in many prestigious hotels and restaurants in Paris and London, I migrated to the USA in 1998 and opened, with my wife Kim, our first restaurant “Ferrandi’s” in upstate New York followed by “The Saratoga Lake Bistro” in Saratoga Springs. Both places were celebrated by patrons and food critics alike and were named “Best French Restaurant in the Capital Region” from 2000 to 2004.

While vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, my wife & I, discovered “The Brentwood Restaurant”, located in a 1910 historic Victorian style house in Little River. We became the new owners of the restaurant in 2007, where we specializes in Low Country French Cuisine. I have won numerous awards including the Coastal Uncorked “Top Chef” competition in 2011 & 2012, I was also featured in Wine Enthusiast and performed at various food shows along with Guy Fieri, Paula Deen, Fabio Viviani and Aaron McCargo Jr.

We sold The Brentwood in 2022 to focus on our travel agency (www.BucketListWineTravel.com), and organize monthly wine dinners in several local restaurants.
