I am an award winning chef with 30 years experience in the culinary field. I have worked hundreds of kitchens being a chef for hire in Denver before moving to the New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. I worked my way across the Gulf Coast finally ending up here in Santa Rosa Beach. I am currently working at The Bay preparing the food for guests to enjoy and in my free time I love to cook for friends.

Chef John and his partner were great! They were on time, made delicious food, and cleaned so well. Would definitely do this again!

I booked Chef John for my parents 20th anniversary and they were blown away by all of the dishes he prepared! They said that he was kind, thoughtful, professional, and left their kitchen spotless. We would definitely book him again!

Chef John and his team were an absolute delight. Not only did Chef John tailor the experience to our guest of honor, but he went out of his way to make the night special, printed beautiful menus, and cooked even more beautiful dishes. Could not recommend him more, you will not regret this experience!!

Loved every second! Chef John truly spoiled us which was the perfect birthday gift for my husband and the perfect start to our vacation!

Chef Jon was awesome. His communication and creativity and excellence took our special event over the top. His food was beautiful and delicious. Everything was presented with flair and each bite was divine.

Chef John was incredible and absolutely perfect for our party. Everything from set up to clean up couldn’t have been better. We had two absolutely delicious meals prepared by chef John for our party of 23 which he handled masterfully. Beyond the incredible food, it was so convenient how John and his team prepared everything, provided all supplies/food/other materials for service and cleaned up the place to even cleaner than when he got there. Couldn’t recommend chef John more!

Chef Phelps was so easy to work with. He responded very quickly and came up with an incredible dessert based on two of our favorites. I have to say that this meal exceeded all expectations! The steak was cooked to perfection and this truly was one of the best meals that I have ever had. So much detail in every dish with such a depth of flavor and beautiful presentation. He and his assistant, Jess, were so incredibly nice and my kitchen was spotless when they were done. I can not say enough good things about this experience!

I had never tried or heard of takeachef.com. But, I found so many great reviews that I decided to take a chance! Chef John and Dani (who created the drinks!) were outstanding in so many ways! The food and drinks they presented to us were delicious and beautiful. The bright energy they brought to the party and how well they worked together - especially creating such a cohesive and perfect pairing for each course! We are so grateful for their time and talent - and hope to do this again! - kelly.

Chef John did amazing at my sister’s bachelorette!! He was so kind, did an AMAZING job on the meals he prepared. He did an all day grazing board which allowed us to snack all day on it. He made us a lemon butter lobster pasta as well & we all LOVED. He was very easy to get ahold of if needed before the trip. He was very discreet but was very fun to talk to & we even watched him cook some. I totally recommend him & would use him again for future meals!!!

Chef John was AMAZING!! Will definitely use him again during our upcoming beach trips!
