I am a Philadelphia native, who has been classically trained as a cook. My adventure started around age six at home. Then I got my first job at a French bistro.

Since then I have continued to hone my skills, work with different ingredients, and develop my own style of cuisine.

Recently, I started Stranger Fruits Culinary Practice, as a way for me to go beyond the kitchen. We aim to connect people, food and whole communities over dinner tables.

Chef Lorenzo provided a delicious meal for us and our guests even though we have a small kitchen which he left in a spotless condition.

Lorenzo and his crew were amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone! Food was delicious and they struck the perfect balance of engaging in discussion sometimes without being overbearing at all. They truly allowed our family to enjoy a 5-star meal cooked in the comfort of our own home. They were adaptable with our schedule. And they left the kitchen cleaner than it was when they arrived! 10/10

We were gifted the "Take a Chef" experience and we could not be happier with our dinner service performed by Chef Lorenzo. The process itself to engage with and select a chef & menu was seamless. We selected Chef Lorenzo based on his reviews and he did not disappoint. My husband and I selected 3 courses for the evening and Lorenzo brought local wines that paired perfectly with our dishes. We had a blast getting to know him, learning about each dish and chatting about his inspirations in the kitchen. We live in NJ with no shortage of great Italian restaurants and Chef Lorenzo's chicken parmigiana is one of the best we've ever had. Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience and we would happily recommend him and engage with him again for future events.

As soon as we sat down I was immediately happy that I made the decision to hire a chef from this site. During the planning of the event, Chef Lorenzo put me at ease with his attention to detail and his willingness to make sure that I had the experience I wanted. The dishes were what I expected...flavorful and filling. He also enhanced our tiramisu with some special chocolates on the sides. This was surprise dinner for my marriage proposal. Chef Lorenzo helped this to be a beautiful memory for me and my fiance to revisit forever.

I cannot speak more highly of Chef Lorenzo and his team. The experience was perfect. From crafting the menu together, and picking wines, to the day of the event. I will absolutely be using Chef Lorenzo and his team again for any special occasions. Our menu was: Mushroom Cappuccino Acorn Squash Franchese Branzino Lemon Curd Every single bite was perfect.

Chef Lorenzo did an incredible job with our private brunch. Menu’s in advance. Creative delicious dishes, local ingredients, course were plated beautifully and served well. I highly recommend. Incredible experience.
