Chef Alexx is a renowned culinary expert and educator, known for his work in developing personalized nutrition programs, consulting for top clients.

Chef Alexx Guevara is a graduate of the Southern California School of Culinary Arts, where he earned his Professional Culinary Arts Diploma and credentials in post-secondary education. Affectionately known as “Chef Alexx” by his clients and students, he is the founder and owner of Mechanixx of Health, a company dedicated to designing personalized dietary strategies and developing educational programs centered around the philosophy of education, nutrition, and fitness.

Chef Alexx has built a distinguished career that bridges culinary excellence, performance nutrition, and education. He has consulted, trained, demonstrated, and lectured throughout the professional culinary industry, the health and fitness community, and to the public—his favorite audience.

Professionally, he has worked within the international Hyatt Hotel system and with both the restaurant and catering divisions of the Patina Restaurant Group. While partnered with Primetime Restaurant Group, he consulted on the development and training of back-of-house operations for multiple restaurant and food service projects across the United States. He also directed special events catering for the Southern California School of Culinary Arts and Kitchen Academy – Hollywood.

Chef Alexx’s private clientele includes celebrities, professional athletes, and leaders in entertainment and music. Beyond cooking for them, he has trained actors and actresses for culinary roles in films such as Woman on Top, No Reservations, and Spider-Man 3.

As a certified sports conditioning and nutrition specialist, Chef Alexx develops individualized nutritional profiles based on clinical testing, genetic predisposition, and personal performance goals. He has designed and implemented nutrition programs for resort spas, mental health facilities, and substance abuse treatment centers. His workshops and seminars have been presented at major medical institutions including UCLA Medical Center, Centinela-Freeman Hospital, HOAG Hospital, Mission Viejo Memorial, and HEALTHSOUTH.

He has also worked with professional sports organizations including the LA Kings, Lakers, Galaxy, Angels, Atlanta Reign (Overwatch eSports League), and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. A former semi-professional road cyclist himself, he understands firsthand the relationship between nutrition and peak performance.

Chef Alexx served as Executive Chef at the internationally recognized wellness retreat, The Ranch at Live Oak Malibu, where he also contributed to their published cookbook. He was previously the Resident Chef and Culinary Manager for Sur La Table at the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles and the Opening Executive Chef and Lead Chef Instructor for Kitchen Academy – Hollywood (Le Cordon Bleu Programs). In that role, he oversaw hiring, curriculum development, instructor training, and daily operations. Under his leadership, the school became #1 in enrollments and retention among more than 400 institutions within the company.

Earlier in his career, as Director of Consumer Education for the Southern California School of Culinary Arts, he expanded the program from one class of 12 students to five full classes of 24–30 students each—setting record enrollment numbers.

Chef Alexx has developed and presented health and culinary education programs for universities, trade shows, specialty retailers, and community organizations. He created bilingual (English and Spanish) programs for The Wellness Community and The Celiac Disease Foundation and served on the Latino Task Force Outreach Program for The American Heart Association. His preventive health cooking program for Orange County’s aging population received an Award of Excellence and helped generate grant opportunities for senior centers.

His expertise in sales and marketing led him to revamp Macy’s “Cooking in the Cellar” demonstration series across California and the Southwest, and he served as Western States Representative for Food & Wine Magazine. He has volunteered extensively, training at-risk and foster youth through Orangewood Children’s Foundation and educating women transitioning from rehab and domestic abuse through the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Bethany House.

Chef Alexx has been featured as an expert contributor on national and local television including KCAL Channel 9, KTLA Morning Show, The Oxygen Network, Fit TV, The Food Network, The Dr. Phil Show, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. His work has been highlighted in publications such as Robb Report, Travel & Leisure, Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News, and USA Today.

Currently, Chef Alexx serves as a Culinary Instructor at Southern Utah University / Southwest Tech and continues his work as a private performance nutrition BioChef. Together with his wife Charlie, he advocates for holistic methodologies and therapeutic nutrition, dedicating their family mission to educating both families and the medical community on the power of food as a foundation for lifelong health and wellbeing.
