Chef Haydee Collado

I am Chef Haydee Collado and I have served this country honorably in the U.S Marines for a total of 8 years. Being in the military it gave me the chance to visit other countries and learn different types of cuisine as well as techniques. I am extremely flexible as well as quick on my feet if a situation may occur.

Brooklyn N.Y is my home, I was born and raised there and influenced by many good people that made me the woman I am today. I am not afraid of hard work and I do not expect anything to be handed to me. I have worked for free and volunteered in many cooking events solely to meet great chefs and to show off what I can do in the hopes of getting my foot in the door as a personal chef. I have worked in the private chef industry doing one and or two-day events for the Governor of Colorado, Fashion designers, and another clientele.

As a chef, I know the importance of a good healthy meal which is why I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science and nutrient to better help those clients in need of a better lifestyle whether that may be because of an illness, obesity or simply just because that is a lifestyle choice that they may have. Life is all about taking risks and chances to get to where you want to be in life, and that is exactly what I am doing.

I enjoy being a personal chef, what I enjoy most about it is seeing the person take that first bite and seeing their eyes open up with joy, and giving a glimpse of happiness, and knowing that for that moment I did that. Food should be enjoyed, and you should be able to pronounce everything that goes into your body. I take great pride in preparing the best and freshest food possible, and if given the chance I will not disappoint.
