We had a fantastic time with Chef Yasuaki who cooked us a wonderful meal and created an unforgettable night for us. Chef was easy to communicate with prior to the date, and on the day of arrived on time and had brought everything necessary. Chef was a pleasure to converse with and ensured we didn't lift a finger throughout the entire night. The meals were exquisite, unique and tasted wonderful. It was great to hear Chef explaining the dishes and the cooking methods that were used - definitely added to the whole experience! Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely book Chef for future events and engagements!

Chef Yasuaki was incredible! We enjoyed every dish that was served and couldn't wait for the next course to come out! He was incredibly kind and warm-hearted. I would HIGHLY recommend him if you are looking for a top-notch dining experience. We were truly impressed and will definitely be using his services again!

We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Chef Yasuaki. He was incredibly patient, professional, and attentive throughout the entire evening. He brought his daughter along to assist, and she was absolutely lovely and very helpful. The presentation of every dish was beautiful, and more importantly, the food tasted fantastic. Everything was prepared and served with excellent timing, so the evening flowed effortlessly from one course to the next. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal and had nothing but wonderful things to say. From start to finish, Chef Yasuaki made the experience easy, enjoyable, and memorable. We would happily have him back again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great private dining experience at home!

I wanted to give my daughter an event instead of a gift for her milestone birthday. I saw Take a Chef while doing a search and decided to give it a try. I received many Chef responses to the intial date and we decided on the one that aligned best with what we were looking for. The entire experiance was professionally handled from the first messages through to the dinner. The actual menu was incredible, and the food was delicious throughout. The taste, texture, visual appeal were all better than anyone expected. When completed the cleanup and backup had the kitchen looking amazing and you never knew they were there. If you're looking for both an amazing meal and event for your occasion I would highly recommend Take a Chef. 5 star experiance!

The evening began with generous shared plates that encouraged conversation and set a warm, celebratory tone before transitioning into more composed courses that highlighted his technical precision. A standout was the PEI lobster risotto with truffle oil, luxurious yet perfectly balanced. The rice was cooked to absolute perfection, creamy and structured, allowing the natural sweetness of the lobster and the delicate aroma of truffle to shine. Dessert was equally memorable: a warm canelé with a deeply caramelized crust and custard-soft center, paired with black sesame ice cream whose nutty depth provided a perfect contrast. What truly sets Chef Yasuaki apart is not only his culinary skill but also his hospitality. He brings a calm confidence and warmth that elevates the entire experience. We hired a chef for my husband's birthday. Chef Chida was amazing. The food was great and we had such a great time. He was kind enough to accommodate the vegetarians in our group (as it was a very small group) and we were absolutely STUFFED by the end. I cannot wait to use Take a Chef again.

Outstanding. After cancelling an overseas trip and a three-Michelin-star restaurant reservation due to a family injury, we chose to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday with a private chef. Chef Yasuaki delivered an exceptionally well curated meal that turned her birthday at home into a memorable evening.
