I am a professional chef with over 20 years experience in Hotels and restaurants. I have been at executive chef level with the Conrad, Marriott and Radisson Hotels.

I am a dedicated perfectionist with a love for quality local produce as the basis for everything cooked from fine cuisine to BBQ parties.

I have a team that help with events to keep the consistency and quality at the right level. I also have access to waiting and supervisory staff for events.

We had the best night for my mams birthday thanks to Chef Brian. He was so friendly and the food he made was delicious. He was so professional. All the guests were amazed at the food and service. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Brian again for any occasion.

I had never used this service before and was a little apprehensive, especially as I was organising the event from another country. However, the process was incredibly simple and easy to navigate. I submitted my request, received proposals from chefs, and was able to choose the one I preferred. From the very beginning, Brian Meehan (Dublin based) was outstanding. As soon as the order was confirmed through the website, he reached out to me directly and promptly answered all of my additional questions. Brian also arranged the alcohol and organised delivery, which meant it truly felt like a full-service experience. On the evening itself, Brian and Emet, the waiter, were fantastic—attentive, professional, and the food was absolutely exceptional. Would I use this service again? Absolutely—100%. And would I book Brian again? Without hesitation—150%. All of the guests were extremely pleased.

Brian Meehan was an excellent chef. Extremely professional and really good contact in the run up to event in picking the menu and reassuring me. He was discrete and very well organised. Food quality was excellent and beautiful presentation. Left everywhere spotless. I’d highly recommend Brian. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (and 6 stars for the Tiramisu). ????‍♀️????

Brian cooked for 13 of us for a family birthday celebration. From start to finish everthing was top class. Highly recommend.

Chef Brian was fantastic. This is the only way to have a dinner party, great day for me and my guests. Great food, fun and clean up.

My interactions with Brian was very positive from the beginning, he was very responsive, reassuring me at every stage and very accommodating with dietary restrictions. Brian cooked a delicious meal for us for my dad's 80th birthday meal. As we had a young baby going out for dinner was difficult, so a friend had recommended we look at booking a private chef. We'd never used a private chef experience before so didn't know what to expect. Brian thought of everything and more and the dishes were exquisite. The menus were also really varied and the only problem we had was choosing what we wanted! Brian made it a really special night! Thank you!

Take a chef process was so easy to use. Had a few proposals and went with Chef Brian Meehan and I wasn’t disappointed. You’d hardly know food was being prepared, cooked and dished in the kitchen - it was all so quiet and smooth. We went for a 4 course meal, the food was delicious and so beautifully presented - will definitely be doing this again!

Brian was an absolute pleasure from start to finish, the dishes were amazing, the quality and quantity of food far surpassed my expectations. I had chosen an unusual venue for my occasion which meant the kitchen area for Brian to work in was less than ideal but it wasn't an issue for Brian at all, completely took it in his stride. I would 100% recommended Brian and would love for him to cook for us again.

Brian was absolutely superb. From the moment we engaged with him everything ran really smoothly. The Food was excellent and he was a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend him highly and will will use him again.

We had a wonderful evening with truly delicious food from Brian. Our family has some people who would try anything while others prefer the simple dish and Brian's menu catered for all. It gave us that 5 star restaurant quality look and service with also being just really tasty. Would highly recommend Brian and Take a Chef to everyone!

Cannot recommend Chef Brian enough he cooked dinner for five of us he creates fine dining in your home, the presentation is excellent and the food is amazing, thank you Brian for a great evening!

Chef Brian Meehan was absolutely fantastic, we had a wonderful evening enjoying a gourmet meal, of restaurant standard and presentation, whilst sitting relaxing in the comfort of our own home with our guests. Brian was engaging & chatty and seemed to enjoy the evening also, chatting with our guests and telling us all about himself and his culinary experiences. He pulled off a phenomenal 4 course meal for 12 people, seemingly effortlessly and did all the serving & clearing himself and stated that ‘he never gets stressed’ which certainly seem accurate. We couldn’t have been more delighted with our chef & the entire evening & would certainly recommend Brian. Gillian, Dublin

Brian was lovely and easy to talk to. Made us feel comfortable and also knew to leave us to enjoy the food with no interruptions. The food was beautiful and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. I personally will definitely be using Take a Chef again.
