Chef Irene Maria Petris

I’m a Basque Culinary Center student with a bright, curious mind and a big love for creating culinary experiences. I adapt quickly to new environments and have grown both personally and professionally through international experiences, including time in the USA.

Pastry is truly my happy place. I’m passionate about baking and dessert-making, with hands-on experience selling cakes during summer holidays, and I love finishing every experience with something sweet :). I also enjoy sharing my journey on my gastronomy account on Instagram @eatwithire_ where I post what inspires me in and out of the kitchen.

I’m an organized, positive, and responsible person who really values teamwork. Volleyball has taught me discipline, decision-making, and the importance of working together, lessons I bring with me into the kitchen every day.

Outside of cooking, you’ll usually find me near the sea. I’ve been practicing water sports like sailing and windsurfing since I was five and I hold an SSI Level 1 diving certificate. I also love traveling, learning new languages, following Formula 1, and spending time with dogs (they really are the best friends you can have).
