Chef Laura hones her skills from Professional Cooking, Stanford PhD Fellowship, and global work experience in Australia, Germany, USA, Texas, & Vegas.

American-Bulgarian dual citizen and global nomad. I work as a private chef and have acquired knowledge and skills through 6 diplomas, licenses, and PhD-level degrees. Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to travel for work around the USA (Texas, California, Utah, and Nevada), Australia, and Germany, as well as complete other merit-based education and training. I love dogs, food, art, new experiences, playing sports, and laughing.

There are so many reasons that Chef Laura fell in love with cooking and the culinary arts profession; the craft truly connects people all over the world, it is "edible art" that can bring nourishment from the inside out and provide memorable experiences and it's a field in which there is endless learning opportunities. For 12 years Laura worked in diverse environments, including academia, government, freelance, and private industry. 

With years of experience working as a personal chef, as an executive chef in the fast-paced environment of a successful restaurant, attending culinary school, and cooking from a very young age, she has most recently cherished her time as a private chef because she is an extrovert and enjoys the customizability of working directly with her diverse clients. One of her favorite parts of the cooking experience – elated feedback from customers. Being a Private Chef also allows Laura the opportunity to utilize her creativity in custom menu creations. Plus, she understands that peoples’ palates vary, and dietary preferences do too, so she is experienced in all types of global cuisine and all dietary restrictions or preferences.

Food safety is of utmost importance, and Chef Laura's most recent assessment results and food handlers licensing ranked her as highly proficient in this topic. With strengths in math, science, and art (painting, drawing, sculpture etc.) since elementary school and throughout her education, applied in jobs around the world from Australia to Germany, she hones the tools from her PhD from Stanford, Bachelor's of Science from UT-Austin, Harvard Business Certificate, and Culinary Arts Diploma with Distinction from Austin Paey University.
