Chef João Marques

I am a professional Portuguese chef with 10 years of experience and keep counting. I studied at the Professional School of Tomar for 3 years and I took 3 traines in the end of each year. I started at the prestige hotel Cascais Mirage, than in the south of Portugal in an amazing resort called Grand Real Santa Eulália and for the last in the 1 michelin star Restaurant "Loco" with the great and amazing Chef Alexandre Silva and his team, When i finished my studies I decided to travel the world and get more and more experience and knowlegde about food and how to cook so I worked in one of the best country clubs in the U.S.A called Addison Reserve in Delray Beach, Fl with the chef Peter Zoole who tought me amazing skills and discipline in the galley. I worked on a river cruise in the best company of cruises in the world called Vikings and was an amazing experience to work on such different envoirements. I did a lot of catering for a company in portugal such as weddings and big partys. I opened a restaurant in my hometown city with a friend, created all the decoration, name, menu and less than a year we were already top 1 on tripadvisor. Later we decided to sell the restaurant wich still have a lot of success these days, It´s called Más Línguas in Entroncamento. My favourite food is portuguese and italian, I have a special care about doughs and stews. I love to grill food thats my favourite way to eat anything. I have a lot of ideias and I´m always looking to improve and learn new things.
