Chef Dean Verling

Hello! My name is Dean Verling. I was born and raised in Reno, NV. I married my high school sweetheart 10 years ago and we now have a son, daughter, and a husky.

I have been cooking as long as I can remember - I have always had a love for food and really enjoyed cooking. I have worked in many industries throughout my life including IT and drafting in the Civil Engineering field. In 2022 my amazing wife encouraged me to pursue my passion for cooking as a career. With help from my friends and family as my taste testers I decided that private event catering with a specialty in Neapolitan style pizza is where my passion lies. Pizza is the perfect platform for creativity and it also creates a great environment to celebrate all of life’s events with the ones you love.

If you have kids, you know they can come up with the funniest things that just make you smile. My son likes to compliment my cooking and encourages me by saying, “Dad, you’re a really good Chef’R.” So when I was trying to “brand” myself, that seemed like the only option… Chef’R Dean.
