Seasonally inspired young creative Italian chef
My name is Rachel Taylor and I am a chef with extensive experience in service and hospitality. I find an overwhelming sense of pride in caring for families and individuals through their daily meals and routines.
As a formally trained chef with a specialization in Italian cuisine, I have a considerable ability to create, develop, and prepare delicious meals. My work background has allowed me to refine my organization, problem solving, and creativity through various challenges that I have worked to overcome. Through my diligence, ability to anticipate needs and acute attention to detail I have always been able to excel in every position I have been promoted to. Most recently, I was able to thrive as an acting executive chef by implementing standard practice, comprehensive training to all staff members, and integral organization through formal documentation.
In former volunteer endeavours I have assisted in teaching at elementary, high school and college level classes. In addition to my vocational efforts in education I have volunteered on a local organic farm. I was responsible for the completion of daily animal, garden, and home chores in addition to caring for a senior woman and young child. Some of my duties included driving to and from appointments, general cleaning of the home and yard, food preparation, ensuring completion of miscellaneous farm duties.
I believe that cooking is some of the most meaningful work. The opportunity to nourish people and care for them several times a day is an honor to me as what you put into your body drives your entire life.
My passion for food works well in conjunction with my disciplined work ethic. With a long work history in the restaurant industry I have high confidence in my ability to make outstanding food working in line with dietary restrictions, personal preference, and any special occasions. While I am independently motivated I value working with my clients to find how to better serve them and thrive on constructive feedback to ensure the highest quality of service is achieved.
